Crowd gaming

Get the whole room playing.

Phones become the controllers, the big screen becomes the arena. People scan a QR code and are in within seconds — no app download, no account.

01

The phone is the controller

Everyone plays on the device already in their pocket. Nothing to hand out, collect, or clean between rounds.

02

The screen is the arena

The screen carries the game, the scores and the standings for everyone. The phones hold the controls and the secret information.

03

Nothing to download

It runs in the phone's browser. Every extra step before play costs you part of the room, so we removed all of them.

How it works

Four steps, and it takes under a minute.

  1. 1

    Open the screen

Open the display link on any device connected to the TV or projector, and enter the room code.

  2. 2

The screen shows a QR code

It appears large in front of everyone, alongside a four-character code for anyone who'd rather type it.

  3. 3

    People scan and join

Scan, pick a name and an avatar, and you're in the room. No download, no account.

  4. 4

    Start playing

The room votes on the next game, or director mode plans the whole session for you automatically.

What you need on site

A short list — and half the reason crowd gaming is easier to run than any other kind of entertainment.

  • A screen or projector, with a device attached that can open a browser
  • An internet connection at the venue
  • The audience's phones — which they already have

No heavy equipment to ship, no full day of installation beforehand. We check the network with you ahead of the date and prepare a fallback if needed.

Where it works

Anywhere people are standing, waiting, or gathered in front of a screen.

  • Events and festivals
  • Exhibitions and conferences
  • Stadiums and half-time
  • Airports and waiting areas
  • Malls and entertainment venues
  • Corporate events and parties
  • Brand activations
  • Universities and student events

Games built for big numbers

These games in our library have no player cap — they scale with the room.

There are team games too, like Tug of War: two sides shake their phones and the rope moves on the screen in front of everyone.

Real work

Airports Cluster 2

We deployed a tailored build of the platform inside the airport, with a curated shortlist sized for a place where people are moving through and short on time. We built the QR display boards for the floor so a visitor joins from their phone in a second.

Questions about crowd gaming

Crowd gaming is built to take a whole hall — several games have no player cap, and everyone joins from their own phone on the same code. The practical limit is usually the venue's network rather than the system, which is something we check with you before the event.

No. Scan the QR code, type a name, pick an avatar, play. No email, no password, no app.

We check the network with you ahead of the date. The games are lightweight and don't need much bandwidth, but they do need a stable connection — and if the situation is difficult we prepare an alternative for the venue.

Yes. We can change the look, colours and content to match your brand, and we can build a game from scratch around an occasion's theme — we did exactly that for the film 7Dogs.

It depends on the agreement. Some clients run it themselves because setup is simple; for other events we're there to run the screen and pace the rounds with the host.
